What agenda headings or key message statements will I use to support the direction I set in my headline? What’s the best way to help the audience reflect on this topic with me?

4. Kickers

What’s the most important takeaway or conclusion from each Subhead discussion?

5. Support/Evidence

Lay out your most compelling arguments and/or evidence to support each subhead with a full and persuasive explanation.

Is there a relevant way to grab their attention and focus them on my topic or lead idea?

7. Logistics

What does the audience need to know or hear first about me or what’s about to happen in order to settle in, be receptive and give me the floor?

Stop now, download your worksheet and check the flow! Talk it through out loud by following the arrows from top to bottom and linking the boxes with appropriate transitions. If it flows, it’s time for Visual Aid development and then—formal rehearsal! If it doesn’t, save time and effort by re-working the subheads and/or transitions until it does.
